THUNDER IN THE SKY

 By Vernon J. Davis Jr.

Author of

" Love Is The Beautiful Black Woman"

She sits upon Her regal throne
Surrounded by dynasties of old
Pyramids are Her rings
The stars, Her eyes
And when She speaks, Her voice rolls
Like Thunder In The Sky

The sun is her flaming crown
The moon, Her nocturnal gown
Diamonds are Her smile
Sensuous and wide
And when She sings Her sound
It is Thunder In The Sky

Men bow day and night by Her side
Proclaiming Her eternal beauty
The Old Pharaohs and other lovers She has
Perform their ritual duty
And She looks down, satisfied
Her Universe, mesmerized
By the voice of Her beauty
Which is Thunder In The Sky

She speaks to Her sisters beneath,
The Black Pearls glittering at Her feet,
"RISE UP, FOR WE ARE"
"THE QUEENS OF THE EARTH AND
THE SKY"
"OUR DEEP DARK LOVE IS WHAT
MEN SEEK"
"OUR DEEP DARK LOVE IS THEIR DEFEAT"
"RISE UP, FOR WE ARE"
"WE ARE!!"
This is Their Thunder In The Sky

She sits upon Her regal throne
Surrounded by dynasties of old
The clouds carry Her on
While She chants and listens forever
To Her precious Pearls,
"WE ARE!!"
"WE ARE!!"
And the stars twinkle in Her eyes
And Her voice forms a smile
Which is Her
Thunder In The Sky
